EduCare International
Benefits built just for international educators
Recognizing the unique aspects of access to healthcare for international educators, ISSFIN created and manages the EduCare International Health Plan, a tailor made, worldwide health insurance solution for international schools. The program was launched in the 2004/2005 school year, and is now the program of choice for thousands of members in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. EduCare International is custom designed to meet the specific coverage, budget and service needs of international educators across the globe, whenever, and most importantly, wherever, they work or vacation.
EduCare International is offered exclusively by the ISS Financial and Insurance Network (ISSFIN) and in cooperation with selected local brokers around the world. The program is insured by the AAUG Insurance Company, Ltd., whose roots are firmly planted in the international education community. The managing personnel of AAUG all have extensive experience providing products and services to international educators.
The EduCare International Health Plan offers program options that let schools provide their staff access to elective medical care worldwide, including the USA. The is a major advantage when recruiting and retaining high quality staff who, along with their families, choose to access care while in the USA. Alternatively, members may also choose an option to select care in the USA on an emergency only basis. This two-pronged approach in one consolidated program delivers administrative ease plus substantial cost savings to EduCare International school customers.
Some of the other important features of the EduCare International plan include:
- Medical Benefits of up to $1,000,000 per person per year.
- School/Policy Year Deductible plans of $100, $250, $500, $1,000*.
- Full emergency medical evacuation and assistance coverage.
- Optional life, accidental death, dental and vision plans.
- A very robust wellness program with benefits up to $500 per person per year for routine check ups and inoculations.
- Well Child Care visits for newborns...6 per year for the first 24 months of life, with no dollar limit.

- Convenient access to more than 500,000 health care professionals and 3,700 hospitals that are part of our MultiPlan PHCS Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network throughout the USA.
- Convenient access to more than 95% of all registered pharmacies across the U.S. through the CVS/CareMark pharmacy program.

Claims may now be submitted completely online, eliminating the time delays related to mailing claims in for reimbursement.
